These new incentives are more than financial programs, they’re a statement of intent. The Town of Hepburn is taking innovative steps to grow our community while staying true to the values that make Hepburn an incredible place to live.

commercial expansion & improvement tax incentive

Eligible projects may receive partial or full tax abatements on the increased or new assessed value resulting from their upgrades or new investment for 3 years.

Improvement Grant

Existing Hepburn businesses may apply to receive a $1,500 grant for $3,000 worth of improvements to the façade of their commercial building.


Key Dates:

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026 – 2:00 PM 

Success Notification:  May 29, 2026

Project Completion:  December 31, 2026

Purchasers of newly constructed single-family homes in Hepburn are eligible to receive a $5,000 grant. Unlike traditional multi-year property tax abatements this delivers immediate financial support when it matters most.

Hepburn New Home Construction Grant


Hepburn Commuting Incentive

A one-time $500 grant is available during the first year of residence for eligible new residents who commute outside of Hepburn for work.


Hepburn Remote Worker Incentive

A one-time grant available during the first year, designed for professionals and families who work remotely for employers outside of Hepburn or are self-employed.

Eligibility varies by program, but generally participants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Establish primary residence in Hepburn for at least 12 months
  • Not lived in Hepburn in previous 12 months
  • Meet program-specific criteria
