The Town of Hepburn’s parks and green spaces are public amenities available on a first-come, first-served basis. Community input is welcome for events, programs, and future improvements. For larger events, please notify the Town Office in advance and post signage on the day of your event.

Harvest View Park
Neighbourhood Playground – Northwest Hepburn
Location: 114 South Hill Road | Established: May 25, 2022
A modern neighbourhood playground funded through the ICIP COVID Resiliency Grant (2021). Children must be supervised at all times.
This park was made possible through strong community volunteer leadership and local vendor support.
Little Park
Neighbourhood Playground – Central Hepburn
Location: 2nd Street East & 1st Avenue South | Established: June 25, 2022
Renovated through ICIP funding (2021), Little Park provides a refreshed play space in the town core. Children must be supervised at all times.
Project delivery was supported by community volunteers and local contractors.
Ball Diamonds & Park Area
Sports & Green Space – Northeast Hepburn
Location: 3rd Avenue North & RR #3060
This multi-use sports area includes a ball diamond, green space, trees, waste receptacles, and equipment storage.
Valley Slo-Pitch League: Wednesdays, May 22–July 10 (6:00 pm & 7:30 pm)
Tournament: August 2026 (contact Dustin Paul for details)
Equipment Access: Ball box keys available through recreation@hepburn.ca
Volunteers are welcome for youth ball clinics and adult drop-in slo-pitch programming.
Hepburn Forest
Natural Walking Area – Central Hepburn
Location: North of the Museum buildings
Features a gravel pathway, bench, and waste receptacle. The forest supports year-round recreation including walking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fat biking, and nature exploration.

Little Free Library
Community Literacy Space – Central Hepburn
Location: Main Street & Railway Street
A sheltered reading space with benches and a “take a book, leave a book” collection. Donations may be placed directly at the library or at Heritage Common (Office B115).
Seasonal volunteers are welcome for snow removal and summer care.
School Playground & Grounds
Public School Grounds – Central Hepburn
Location: 500 – 2nd Street East | School Established: 1927
Amenities include playground equipment, basketball hoops, outdoor classroom space, soccer fields, ball diamond, and track area.
Community use is permitted after school hours. Parking is available along Main Street, 2nd Street East, and the arena-school lot.
Heritage Common Grounds
Community Gathering Space – North/Central Hepburn
Location: 703 – 2nd Street East | Established: May 1, 2021
Includes beach volleyball, open green space, picnic tables, courtyard, oval area, and temporary disc golf. The Heritage Common building is open weekdays from 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Snowshoe the Hepburn Forest: Snowshoes are available to borrow for day or weekend use. Contact Lisa at recreation@hepburn.ca

Museum Feature: The Hepburn Museum of Wheat was highlighted in the Heritage Saskatchewan Annual Report (March 2024).
Guided Tours: Available by volunteer hosts Lew & Ruby Wall at 306-290-9575 (subject to availability).
Volunteers Welcome: The Museum Board is seeking volunteers for gardening, painting, event support, costumed historical interpretation, and schoolhouse reading programs.

Centennial Station Gazebo
The Centennial Station Gazebo, completed in 2021, is a central feature of the Museum of Wheat grounds. Designed to reflect the charm and nostalgia of prairie train stations, the gazebo invites visitors to pause, gather, and experience Hepburn’s railway heritage.
The project was made possible through legacy grants from the Hepburn Co-op Board and the Department of Canadian Heritage, along with community fundraising and donations. Construction and design were supported by Matrix Construction, Warren Jeschke Custom Woodworking, Cal’s Signs & Designs, and dedicated community volunteers.
The Centennial Park Project officially opened on September 11, 2021.
Amenities & Site Features
The gazebo area includes:
- Electrical outlets
- Picnic tables
- Garbage bins
Window tarps available upon request for larger gatherings
The broader Museum Grounds include:
- Museum and Annex
- Agent Office
- Schoolhouse
- Implement Row and Windmill
- Interpretive signage and self-guided historical trails
For larger events, group bookings, or tours, please contact the Museum Board and the Town Office.
Public Use Guidelines
The Centennial Station Gazebo is a public space, available on a first-come, first-served basis. To help preserve this facility for future generations, all users are expected to follow these guidelines:
- No littering; clean and wipe tables after use
- No fires or overnight stays
- No alcohol or smoking
- Do not use tape, tacks, or signage on the building
- No driving or parking on grassed areas
Parking is available at Railway Street lots and angled parking along Main Street
If signage is needed for a private gathering (e.g., wedding or family event), please post a temporary notice nearby rather than attaching it to the structure.
