Storywalk

A StoryWalk is an innovative, community-driven activity that combines reading with physical activity . It involves taking apart a children's picture book and displaying its pages sequentially on signs or posts along a walking trail or through a business district, allowing families to read the story page-by-page as they stroll.

The StoryWalk is "Mud Puddle" by Robert Munsch , and is located on the Green Space between the Heritage Common Main Building and Heritage Lodge. Invite a friend or family member to read the story together. It will be in place from Monday July 13 through Friday July 17, and then it will be relocated to the Hepburn Museum of Wheat Grounds.

Council Meetings Move to Tuesdays!

Public Notice is hereby given that all the regularly scheduled Council Meetings normally held on Wednesdays will be set for the schedule as follows:

*2nd Tuesday of the month for Committee of the Whole Meetings (formerly called Strategic Meetings).

and

*4th Tuesday of the month for Regular Council Meetings .

Location: The Chambers Room, at Heritage Common, 703-2nd Street East.

Time: Meetings begin at 7:00pm.

Gallery: The gallery is open to the public for all Council Meetings, for residents and interested attendees to observe the proceedings silently. If the Council motions to go "In Camera", then all guests will be excused.

Delegations: To sign up to be a delegation, complete a Delegation Request Form and contact Town Office at reception@hepburn.ca.

Water Fill Station System Update

System Upgrade

Please be advised that the water fill station has recently undergone a system update. As a result of this update, the option to start and stop the system using a mobile phone is no longer available. All users are now required to operate the system using their fob. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause users, and we appreciate your understanding.

Town of Hepburn has New Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

The Town of Hepburn is pleased to announce that Duane Storey will be stepping into the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective May 4, 2026.

Duane joins us following six years as CAO of the Rural Municipality of Shellbrook, bringing with him over a decade of prior experience in finance with organizations including Romeo’s Trucking and Sturgeon Lake First Nation. His diverse background also includes earlier experience managing a golf course—something he still enjoys in his spare time.

Duane’s strong leadership, financial expertise, and understanding of municipal operations make him a great fit for Hepburn as we look ahead to continued growth and stability.

We would also like to thank Lisa Braun for serving as our Acting Administrator during this season of transition, and a special thank you to the entire staff team for their leadership and dedication. We could not do our work without such an incredible team.

The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA) is opening applications for Cohort 2 of the Upscale Program, designed to help established companies scale and grow.

Participating businesses will receive:

• Market research and industry expertise

• Funding for specialized consultants or services

• Support implementing their growth plans

Businesses in agriculture, mining, manufacturing, energy, technology, and life sciences are encouraged to apply.

Economic Development and Community Marketing Initiative

We are thrilled to announce that as part of the Town of Hepburn's Strategic Plan we are officially launching a new Economic Development and Community Marketing Initiative. First up is a Business Retention and Expansion Survey so that we may better understand the perspective of our dedicated local businesses who do so much for the town. This will lay the foundation of our initiatives moving forward. The surveys are confidential however a final report will be made public later in June with key highlights.
